Overview
Nestled within the walls of the Holy Cross Monastery, the Chapel of Saint Constantinou and Elenis stands as a testament to the enduring influence of these two beloved Saints in the history of Cyprus. Blessed by the esteemed Archbishop of Cyprus Chrysostomos II (who at the time he gave his blessing was the Metropolitan of Paphos) , this sacred space was created in 2016 as a part of the Monastery's complex to honor the memory of these two saints. Stepping inside, one is immediately struck by the sense of reverence and awe that permeates the space. The Chapel's rich history and the important role it plays in the religious tradition of Cyprus make it a must-see destination for visitors and locals alike. The Chapel of Saint Constantinou and Elenis is a beautiful tribute to the enduring legacy of these two influential saints and a truly special place for reflection and prayer. Every 21st of May, the faithful Christians gather at the Chapel of St. Constantine and St. Helen to hold a praise service, lighting candles and offering prayers to the Saints. A time-honored tradition is deeply rooted in the village's custom and history in which all chapels in the area are being liturgised in succession every Saturday after the Resurrection period in that way liturgising all churches.
